Sauk Women's Tennis Advances

The Sauk Valley Community College Women’s Tennis team earned a berth to the NJCAA Championships by taking the runner-up position in the Regional tournament last weekend.  The Skyhawks finished behind the College of Lake County, who were crowned as the Champions.  

The Skyhawk’s were led by Kenzie Hubbard, who was the number 3 singles champion.  Meghan VanBuren finished out the tournament in the runner-up position in the number 4 slot.  Lexi Sneek also finished second while playing at number 5.  In doubles play, the number 2 team of Sydney Schott and Meghan VanBuren took top honors, while the number 3 doubles team of McKenzie Hubbard and Olivia Pitkin finished in second.

The Skyhawks advance to the third national championship in a row by claiming the runner-up spot this season.  The National Championships will be held in Tucson, Arizona May 7-11, 2022.
